We Were There—Live at Connections 2025 Main Keynote
Cloudgaia attended Salesforce Connections 2025, two days packed with innovation, AI and cutting-edge marketing technology. As a global Salesforce Summit Consulting Partner, we joined the community in Chicago to experience firsthand the biggest announcements shaping the future of the Salesforce ecosystem.
From AI-powered personalization to real-time conversations with autonomous agents, in this article, we break down the key announcements, use cases from the keynote
Understanding Agentic Marketing
Agentic marketing refers to the ability to hold personalized, two-way conversations with customers—across every channel. Unlike traditional campaigns, where messages are pushed out and responses are disconnected or manual, this new approach allows AI agents to operate in real time, understand customer needs, and take action on their behalf.
These AI agents are far more advanced than chatbots. They are grounded in enterprise data, can reason and plan, and most importantly, they can execute tasks—placing orders, qualifying leads, recommending products, and booking appointments—all within a single, seamless interaction. Salesforce refers to this as digital labor, where marketers can scale conversations without scaling their teams.
Agentic marketing enables two-way conversations across every customer touchpoint. With Agentforce, AI agents:
- Instantly understand enterprise data.
- Generate goals-driven action plans.
- Take action autonomously (e.g., complete orders, book appointments).
This is not chatbot 2.0—it’s enterprise-grade digital labor, scaling the best of your team’s capabilities.
A Look at the New Agentic Stack
To make agentic marketing a reality, Salesforce introduced a new tech stack built around four pillars: the Metadata Platform, Data Cloud, Marketing Cloud Next, and Agentforce. Together, these layers create a connected architecture that makes customer experiences consistent, intelligent, and scalable.
The Metadata Platform provides structure across applications, while Data Cloud ensures that customer information is always harmonized and accessible in real time. Marketing Cloud Next has been completely rebuilt to allow for dynamic personalization, and orchestration tools like Flow are now integrated into campaign design. Finally, Agentforce offers a unified interface to build, deploy, and monitor AI agents.
Built for marketers, Salesforce’s stack includes:
- Data Cloud with zero-copy data integration and real-time segmentation.
- Marketing Cloud Next, fully rebuilt with native orchestration and personalization.
- Agentforce, for no-code agent deployment and cross-channel activation.
The entire platform is open, composable, and integrated, compatible with any LLM or external tools.
Smarter Campaigns, Built with Speed
Agentforce also transforms how marketers build campaigns. Salesforce showcased a new workflow where teams can collaborate directly in Slack using campaign coordinator agents. These agents can generate briefs, access historical campaign data, and produce segments and creative recommendations in real time.
From Slack, all information is seamlessly transferred into Marketing Cloud Next, where orchestration flows can be created using Flow. This new approach removes the need to copy data or switch tools, significantly reducing time to market.
- Collaborate via Slack using campaign coordinator agents.
- Build segments, content, and orchestration flows directly in Marketing Cloud Next.
- Launch campaigns faster—with no data re-entry or manual sync.
Lead Qualification Reimagined
During the Keynote, we discovered how Agentforce can automatically qualify leads, using reasoning based on customer data, interests, and product documentation. These agents can be configured without writing any code and are designed to work continuously, reaching out to prospects, answering product questions, and booking meetings when the lead is ready to convert.
Marketers can now deploy lead qualification agents that:
- Work 24/7, follow up, answer questions, and convert leads.
- Use enterprise product data to provide contextual responses.
Automatically escalate high-interest contacts to sellers.
Agentforce Command Center: Full Visibility and Control
Marketers can monitor the performance of every AI agent through the new Agentforce Command Center. From this interface, it’s possible to view session data, engagement metrics, and campaign effectiveness. If drop-offs occur, Agentforce even suggests improvements to ensure agents continue delivering value.
Track, evaluate, and optimize agents with:
- Health scores, topic performance, engagement trends.
- Recommendations to improve outcomes after drop-off points.
Full visibility into every conversation.
